What safety training does OSHA require?
More than most employers realize — training obligations are embedded in dozens of standards. The common core for general industry: hazard communication at hire and when chemicals change, lockout/tagout for authorized and affected employees, powered industrial truck certification with evaluation every 3 years, PPE use, emergency action plan roles, and hearing conservation where noise exceeds the action level. Construction adds fall protection, ladder, and excavation training. The trigger is your operations, not your headcount — the obligations start at employee #1.
Is OSHA 30 training worth it? Who needs OSHA 10?
OSHA 10 is the awareness baseline for workers — required for construction workers by law in several states and increasingly demanded by general contractors and plant owners for site access. OSHA 30 is for supervisors, leads, and safety committee members who need to recognize and correct hazards, and it is one of the strongest signals a jobsite leadership team can carry. Our courses are delivered by OSHA-authorized outreach trainers, on your site, with completion cards issued through the OSHA Outreach Training Program.
Why does most safety training fail?
Because it is generic. A slide deck about “machine safety” changes nothing; training built around your press brake, your lockout points, and your near-miss history changes behavior. We build every session from a walkthrough of your floor, keep sessions under 90 minutes, run hands-on verification where standards require it, and hand you a training matrix that shows — by employee, by topic, by due date — exactly where you stand.

How much does on-site safety training cost?
Our on-site sessions run $1,500–$3,500 per training day depending on course and class size, including customization to your equipment and full documentation. Multi-course training days are the most cost-effective way to knock out annual refreshers.
Can training be in Spanish or other languages?
Yes — OSHA requires training employees in a language and vocabulary they understand, and we deliver core courses bilingually (English/Spanish) with translated materials. Tell us your workforce mix when scheduling.
Do online courses satisfy OSHA requirements?
Sometimes partially, rarely fully. Many standards require site-specific content and hands-on demonstration of competence — forklift evaluation and LOTO procedure walk-throughs cannot be done by video. We blend online knowledge modules with on-site practical verification where that split is defensible.
What training records do we need to keep?
At minimum: who was trained, on what, when, by whom, and — where required — how competency was verified, with trainer qualifications available. Our training matrix tracks all of it with automatic refresher due dates, and it is the single most-requested document in the OSHA inspections we support.
