Case studies: the numbers, not the adjectives

Every consulting site claims results; almost none publish numbers. These case studies show the before-and-after metrics from real Meridian EHS Partners engagement patterns — penalties negotiated, TRIR curves bent, audits passed — with enough method detail that you can judge whether the approach would transfer to your operation.

Featured engagements

Clients are anonymized — operators talk to each other, and our clients’ inspection histories are their business. The methods and math are presented straight.

Manufacturing OSHA turnaround

A complaint inspection produced 14 citation items. Sixty days later: a 91% penalty reduction — and the start of a rebuild that took TRIR from 4.8 to 1.9.

How we measure engagements

Every Meridian engagement is scoped around one to three metrics agreed in writing before work starts: a penalty outcome, a TRIR/DART trajectory, a permit filed by a date, a prequalification score achieved, a finding-closure rate. Quarterly scorecards report against those numbers for as long as we are engaged — which is also why our retention rate is 97%: it is hard to fire a vendor whose graph is moving the right direction, and easy to keep one honest when it is not.

Want references in your industry? Ask — we arrange direct client-to-client calls rather than curated quote sheets.

Frequently asked questions

Why are the clients anonymous?

Because the studies discuss inspection histories, penalty negotiations, and injury data — information clients reasonably keep private. We publish the methods and math instead, and provide named references directly to serious prospects with client permission.

Are these results typical?

The methods are typical; the magnitudes vary with the starting point. A plant with a 91% penalty reduction had strong abatement facts to work with; a contractor at TRIR 4.8 had more room to improve than one at 2.0 would. We will give you an honest projection for your numbers before you sign anything.

Do you guarantee outcomes?

We guarantee scope, effort, and transparency — not agency decisions or injury luck, which nobody can honestly guarantee. What we will do is put the target metric in the engagement letter and report against it quarterly, which concentrates minds on both sides.
